The clever combination of fibres makes possum merino naturally warm without feeling bulky, while the hollow structure of the possum fibre helps trap warmth and gives the fabric its beautifully soft, lofty texture. It’s also naturally more resistant to pilling than many pure wool garments, helping your favourite pieces stay looking lovely for longer.

Enhanced warmth - The possum fur has a hollow core, which enhances the warmth of merino wool, but also gives the material its lightweight, lofty feel.
Pilling resistant - The surface of woollen garments are often susceptible to pilling (or balling), especially after repeated wear or on ‘high wearing’ parts of a garment. The possum fur’s natural surface texture helps to counteract this process - you will find very little to no pilling, even after years' of use.
Naturally breathable - One of the merino wool’s best qualities is its ability to absorb large quantities of moisture vapour, and then move it away to evaporate into the air. This makes the garments naturally breathable and wondrous to wear.
Naturally therapeutic - One of the possum fur’s most unique qualities is its therapeutic benefits, it naturally contains an enzyme believed to support skin health and may help alleviate certain skin conditions.
Care
Possum Merino knitwear is very easy care. It is naturally odour resistant, so requires less washing, which is kinder on you and the environment. When you do want to wash, please follow instructions below:-
Warm hand wash using wool detergent.
Dry flat.
Do not bleach.
Do not tumble dry.
Dry cleanable.
