Probably the most charming chocolate eggs we have ever seen! A beautifully illustrated cardboard egg box filled with a dozen delicious brown-speckled eggs. These gorgeous little eggs are made in France and each one is filled with the most mouth-watering and buttery salted caramel ganache, with a touch of 'fleur de sel' salt in the caramel to intensify the flavour. Simply divine!
Part of the Chocolate Detective’s Curated Collection – her very favourite products from a lifetime of tasting chocolate. These eggs are the same as the salted caramel in the cuckoo eggs which were selected as a Best Buy and given 5 stars in Jeremy Lee’s (Quo Vadis) taste test for the Observer last Easter... so a real winner!
The Chocolate Detective writes:-
"Successfully reintroduced to Britain in the 19th century, this secretive bird has survived in what remains of our native pine forest, mainly in Scotland. The male Capercaillie has a prolonged croaking song that accelerates rapidly followed by a cork-popping sound and hissing and gurgling noises thereafter! A bird that goes to those sorts of lengths to bring attention to himself had to be part of this collection!"

Sugar, cocoa mass, caramel 12% (sugar, water, dextrose), concentrated butter (MILK), cocoa butter, whole MILK powder, glucose syrup, enrobing agents (gum arabic, carnauba wax, beeswax, shellac), starches, emulsifier: SOYA lecithin, ‘fleur de sel’ salt, natural vanilla flavouring, colouring ingredients (safflower, lemon, radish, blackcurrant and apple concentrates, BARLEY malt extract and E150c.).
